Partnership with UNICEF

Pressalit and UNICEF join forces to create better sanitary conditions for children around the world

Social responsibilities

Taking social responsibility both locally and globally is a profound part of our practices at Pressalit and it has been for a long time. It is very important to us to be a good corporate citizen and to add value to the world in other forms than our products. This is one of the main reasons, why we have joined forces with UNICEF.

Who is UNICEF?

In 2018, Pressalit enters a partnership with UNICEF. UNICEF is an international organization fighting for children’s rights worldwide. UNICEF aims to improve the circumstances for children suffering due to war, illnesses, abuse, and undernourishment. UNICEF’s overall purpose is to ensure that all children are healthy and safe.

Focus on WASH-initiative

Currently, 2.3 billion people do not have access to proper sanitation. This results in death, diseases and environmental damage implicating numerous children on a global basis. As sanitation is one of Pressalit’s main business areas, we have a natural urge to fight poor sanitation. Therefore, we have a particular focus on the WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) initiative. This initiative promotes clean water and better sanitation, which improves hygiene for everyone.

Our goal

The aim of this partnership is to create awareness about the connection between poor sanitation and poor prospects for the future. Through stories, pictures, events and marketing campaigns, we will raise awareness of the good cause. Ultimately, our objective is to help making the world a better place for children now and in the future.

Why UNICEF?

“At Pressalit, we believe that we can contribute to a better world through action. In places around the world where we are not present ourselves, we can cooperate with organizations that are dedicated to making a difference. Therefore, we have chosen to continue our cooperation with UNICEF and to strengthen the cooperation by entering into an official partnership.” Mette Dyhl Prola, Senior HR & Marketing Director at Pressalit.
